Thanksgiving is a time for giving thanks. I am most thankful for the things that I often take for granted: being able to sleep in a warm bed at night, having a roof over my head, having transportation to get me around to my various activities, not havng to worry about where my next meal is coming from, family and friends who are very supportive of me and of the things that I am passionate about. Without the aforementioned things, my quality of life would be greatly diminished. I am also thankful for the things in nature that I have been able to witness: seeing the beauty of the fall landscapes, hearing the birds sing and crickets chirp outdoors, watching deer in the field, snails crawl along the sidewalk, and viewing sunrises and sunsets and the splendid night sky that unfolds before my eyes almost every night. Life doesn't get any better than this!
